London's Burning, London's burning!

The children loved dressing up as Samuel Pepys and KingCharles II and not forgetting the infamous baker of Pudding Lane, Thomas Farriner!

They had the opportunity to take part in a variety of singing, dancing and acting and loved getting into role! They particularly enjoyed galloping around on ‘horses’ and frantically trying to put the fire out using leather buckets! Every child was provided with a costume and this really got them feeling like a 17th Century Londoner!

The children have been learning about the Great Fire of London as part of their topic, ‘London’s Burning! Fetch the Engines!’ and it has been a huge hit with them all!
