Kwik Sticks Hockey

In primary school the children play an adapted version of the game called Kwik Sticks Hockey.  A squad consists of just 6 players, 3 boys and 3 girls with 4 children playing at any one time.  The pitch is the same as a netball court and they play with a slightly larger and lighter ball.

Teams from Bourne Abbey, Bourne Westfield, Morton and Edenham Primary Schools took part in the round robin tournament.  The standard of hockey displayed by all the schools was fantastic and the children were involved in some highly competitive matches.

The children from Bourne Abbey displayed excellent individual skills and supportive team work and fought hard to compete in their matches.  They finished in 2nd place overall having lost 4-3 to the eventual winners, Bourne Westfield.
