Family Learning – Sharing a Story

Miss Green shared the story ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar,’ and we enjoyed exploring the soft toys, puppets, games and non-fiction books which were hiding inside the caterpillar Storysack. Sara Martin, shared her Storysack which was ‘Owl Babies,’ we liked looking inside the and finding the different owls and the shimmering starry night stars.

Then it was the children’s turn, to transform their favourite story into a storysack, with a little help. The stories were brought to live with soft toys of the main characters, phonic games and even included non-fiction facts as well.

We had lots of fun sharing the Storysacks, thinking about ways of developing listening, reading and writing skills. A fantastic storytelling experience for everyone.
