Marie Curie Daffodils

Pupils and staff at Bourne Abbey recently supported the Marie Curie Cancer Care Daffodil Collection.  Year 6 pupils took responsibility for selling the daffodils during the first week in March for a small donation.  Marie Curie Cancer Care provide support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. They offer expert care, guidance and support, free of charge, to help them get the most they can from life, in the time they have left.

Mrs Cherry Edwards, Executive Headteacher, said “Many local families including families at Bourne Abbey have benefited from the support that Marie Curie offer. We were therefore delighted to be able to support the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal Collection to raise funds for their valuable work.”

Mrs Charlotte Jackson, local Fundraising Manager for Marie Curie Cancer Care, called in to school at the end of the week to accept the donations made.
