Christmas Tree Festival

The festival hosts a wide variety of beautifully decorated trees showcasing a wide variety of handcrafted decorations from different organisations such as charities and schools within our local community. Each year the Methodist Church welcomes up to 2000 visitors for this event and aims to raise awareness and funds for the charity south Lincolnshire’s dementia support.

Our KS2 collective worship council enjoyed decorating the two trees Bourne Abbey had presented this year. Both of our trees were based around the theme of Peace as this is our current Christian Value for term 2. Across the whole of our school, each year group has been busy decorating ‘peaceful’ and thoughtful decorations to represent peace, with each year group creating and having a different interpretation of peace and what it means to them personally.

We would like to thank the Methodist Church for having this opportunity and cannot wait to participate again next year!
